Closet Edits
This is an extension of my heart led services. We visit our closets daily, and if our closets are overwhelming, not authentic, from a past life or just simply not inspiring, it can reflect in how we feel.
What are My Skills?
Birthwork is one of my biggest passions in life, clothing as self expression is another.
Before I realized I have an innate skill in styling, I was doing Closet Edit variations for friends. I then began picking up days at Wolf Shed Consignment in Kómox, where Ana inspired me to style for woman in the Valley. It is such rewarding work, to inspire confidence in others through clothing. I also occasionally work at Isla Consignment. Grace, the owner, and I grew up across the street from each other in the muddy streets of Merville. I love exchanging smiles and celebrating that familiar childlike exploration within the world of dressup.
I believe that our wardrobes can be functional, simplified and enlightened to reflect our ever evolving lives.
My goal is not to follow trends, but help to curate a timeless and authentic you.
Who is this service for?
There can be so many different reasons that somebody might benefit from a Closet Edit in their life. No two closets, people or circumstances are the same. Perhaps some of these examples may reflect your inner world-
It can be for fun, inspiration, perspective or insight
It can be for shopping habits, excess, overflow or overwhelm
It can be for Matrescence\Postpartum, confidence, discovery or self identity
It can be for removing negative triggers, refining routines or expressing yourself through textiles
My Approach
Below is an outline defining the process at its roots, as each individual will have different needs.
-You reach out to me via here.
-I’ll send back a questionnaire to get more information about your goals, style, lifestyle and where you feel you are getting stuck.
-Depending on your schedule, we can break it up across different days, or we can get on a roll for a 2-4 hour window.
-We settle on a day that works for us to meet at your home, where we will begin the process-shopping in your own closet!
-Let’s ensure we have your favorite warm or cool drink, snack and some chill tunes in the background!
-Simple grounding method that we can do together, whether it’s through a guided meditation, breathwork, or some time with our feet on the grass, in the sun.
-While we are following a system, it will feel more like a conversation.
The process varies depending on your Questionnaire results and after some deliberation.
For an example, if your wishes are born more from the idea of purging, letting go, making space. We will focus on that.
If your wishes are born from the idea of personal style, or change in lifestyle, we will focus on how we can meet or re meet this version of yourself.
Investment for Service
Cost of Service varies depending on needs of client, size of closet(s) etc. Typically a session will last 2-4 hours at $55\hr.
Open to mutual trades if you are a care provider in the Comox Valley, all of my services include a written and signed Contract.
Made from the Earth Clothing & Accessories
The outline for my personal closet is consistent with natural fibres. Personally, it feels better, visually and texturally. It is also healthier for me and our environment.
I understand that is not everybody’s set of values, but if you would like to learn more about how to integrate your wardrobe into a natural one, do please let me know.
Another personal value of mine is pre loved, sustainable shopping options. All of my recommendations will reflect this. From filling gaps in your closet, to brands to look out for, brands to stay away from, and where in the Comox Valley to shop at.
My personal favourite textile is silk. Because it is cooling in the summer, and warming in the winter. It’s so flowy and breathable. It emulates such a ethereal vision in my heart that I will forever cherish it. Let’s find out what yours is and why you resonate with it.
